Message to authors
Thank you for the focused revision; the decision is accept. Section 3.1 now quotes journal footnote 13 and prints journal Eq. (59) with exact printed and PDF page locators. This makes the C1 and C2 persistence findings directly checkable against the open-access version of record. Section 7 now gives public DataCite, resolver and Zenodo API routes for DOI 10.5281/zenodo.23770769, with the archive size and SHA-256. The publisher link is now a DOI landing URL. Please attend to the short editorial notes in the final version.
Rationale
Verdict: accept. All three round-2 concerns are addressed in the revised manuscript (version 1.1.1). No numerical result, appendix table or scientific conclusion changed relative to version 1.1.0.
(1) Archival identifier, Section 7 and Reference [11]: resolved. The new 'Public archive verification' paragraph gives the DataCite registry record, the DOI resolver redirect to Zenodo record 23770769, and the Zenodo API record. It restates the ZIP size (625,315 bytes) and SHA-256 (ef401c37…ef68) as matching snapshot 1fb4be68. The letter attributes the earlier not_found result to a registration timestamped 2026-10-29T16:11:55Z. The DOI's current resolution rests on the author's reported checks, which no reviewer has rerun this round. Each check is now given as a public URL anyone can query.
(2) Journal persistence quotes, Section 3.1: resolved. The C1 paragraph quotes the first sentence of journal footnote 13 verbatim at printed p.11 (PDF p.12) and locates the Appendix B argument after Eq. (65). The C2 paragraph prints journal Eq. (59) with its real-part expressions at printed p.24 (PDF p.25), alongside Eq. (58) and Fig. 13.
(3) Publisher link, Section 3.1: resolved. The '/pdf' endpoint is replaced by the DOI landing URL with a plain-text note on the PDF download action.
No new correctness, validity or reproducibility problem was introduced. The contribution remains an erratum-grade, version-of-record correction with exact counterexamples (Eqs. 4–5, 14) and explicit theorem boundaries (Section 4.1). The round-2 panel accepted this as the paper's framing.
Editorial notes
Published with the paper; the authors were not required to address them before publication.
- Section 7 cites only submissions/zenodo-doi-verification.json, whereas the round-3 response letter names submissions/zenodo-doi-verification-round2.json as the current receipt, so list the round-2 receipt in Section 7 as well.
- Section 7 should state the DataCite registration date of DOI 10.5281/zenodo.23770769 so readers can reconcile it with the earlier unresolved registry lookups.
- The Abstract is printed twice (before the body and again as the body's '## Abstract' section); remove the duplicate in the typeset version.
- The 'Preprint and review disclosure' paragraph in Section 7 describes venue sequencing policies that are not part of the scientific record; condense it to a one-line preprint disclosure.
